Eric Romanik
Eric Romanik

Principal & Co-Founder

More Info…

Eric Romanik has been designing and developing Internet services, applications and user interfaces for over 15 years. An innovator since the early days of the web, he was responsible for the design and content of the first public-access web kiosk, launched at 3Com Park (a.k.a. Candlestick Park) in 1995, and now part of the permanent Smithsonian collection.

As a web development manager, Eric formulated an iterative, simulation-based application definition and design methodology, which reduced rework and improved the outcomes of software development projects. While at HealthNet in 2002, he incorporated the use of iRise ver. 2.7 (beta), and quickly became an iRise 'black belt', and company insider. Since that time Eric has provided strategic direction for iRise and has stretched the limits of the tool, simulating features and behaviors that the developers had not envisioned, such as multi-language translation and drag-and-drop.

Eric is a strong proponent of User Centered Design and usability testing, and has successfully employed iRise simulations in a variety of testing environments, including focus groups, remote testing, and formal usability labs. Eric has applied rapid visualization with iRise for organizations ranging from Internet startups to Fortune 500 corporations, in a wide variety of industries, such as healthcare, insurance, financial, technology, and manufacturing.

Eric holds a degree in Mass Communication from Boston University.
